Dogs Für Days is a Non-Profit, 501c-3, all-volunteer dog rescue organization serving the San Diego and Southern California area, dedicated to rescuing dogs in public shelters. Our mission is to provide these dogs with responsible, loving and permanent homes through a comprehensive adoption process. One of our goals is to educate prospective adopters about the responsibilities of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Our dogs stay with wonderful fosters who are dedicated to delivering the best possible environment for our dogs while they await their new homes. In-home fostering allows for a more thorough evaluation of the dog in order to ensure the best possible match with a potential adopter, while simultaneously giving the dog an environment with necessary stimulation, socialization and interaction in order to grow and thrive outside the barriers of a shelter kennel until that match is made. Dogs in our care receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We believe in educating our community and adopters about the importance of spaying and neutering, adoption, training, and proper animal care. We will work collaboratively with local animal shelters in order to avoid the euthanization of dogs and provide them with the homes they deserve.
