Dobermann Rescue of Lake Placid, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding homes for stray and abandoned Dobermanns. Dobermann Rescue of Lake Placid is one of several Dobermann rescue groups that are operating in Florida. Dobermann Rescue of Lake Placid cooperates with other Dobermann rescue groups. All Dobermanns accepted into the organization are fostered in private homes. Foster homes allow us to better care for the Dobermann in a non stressful "home" environment. It also allows us to evaluate each Dobe's temperament and "quirks" so that they can be successfully placed in a "forever home". Dobermann Rescue of Lake Placid is always looking for dedicated persons interested in fostering Dobermanns in their homes. Please contact us if you can help foster dogs or contribute in other ways.
If you are interested in one of our wonderful Dobermans, please fill out the "Adoption Application". You can either fill out the application on-line and e-mail it to [email protected] or print it and mail completed application to: Dobermann Rescue of Lake Placid, Inc., 206 Ballard Road, Zolfo Springs, FL 33890. The adoption fee is up to $500.00 which includes spay or neuter and microchip. The Doberman will also be up to date on all inoculations and treated for parasites if indicated. The adoptive family will be informed of any known medical information and history. References are required for all adoptions and will be checked. A home visit is also required prior to adoption and will be performed by an agent of DRLP. Most of our Dobe's are in foster homes where their personality and temperament are observed so that they can be placed in an appropriate home. We make every effort to assure that suitable matches are made so that our precious charges are successfully placed in their "forever home".
