We are a small animal shelter in Central Montana, proudly serving Chouteau county and surrounding areas. Florence Dedman Animal shelter is a non profit shelter that has been in business for over 25 years. Our main goal is to bring people and adoptable animals together while also ensuring our residents have a happy, clean, comfortable and loving place to call home no matter how long or short their stay.
Looking into adopting a new family member? Our adoption process isn't scary and most of the time we are able to offer same day adoptions! We have you fill out an adoption contract which asks for two references, contact info for your vet, if you rent we need your landlord's contact info and some other easy background information. If you have other dogs in the house we love (and prefer) to do meet and greets at the shelter! It is very important to us that everyone gets along and is able to live happily in the same household. If there are any other animals in the home we will need their up to date vet records showing proof of vaccines and spay/neuter. If you do not bring these we will need to call your vet to verify it has been taken care of.
