Chihuahua Rescue Of San Diego County - Escondido Pet Shelter

Chihuahua Rescue Of San Diego County

Chihuahua Rescue of San Diego County is dedicated to rescuing and caring for homeless, abandoned and injured Chihuahuas. We provide medical attention, loving foster homes and adoption counseling in an effort to find our adoptable dogs the most suitable forever homes. Chihuahuas are one of the most over-represented breeds in San Diego shelters, and we are committed to reducing this statistic by increasing spay/neuter awareness in our community.

Adoption Process

1. The first step in the adoption process is to complete an Application. We will review your application and verify the information upon receiving it. If you rent your home, your landlord will be contacted for approval so it is important to make sure to include your landlord’s name and number on the application. 2. Once your application is approved, we will make arrangements for you to meet the dog in person. This interview is usually arranged by the dog’s foster family and may take place at your home or mutual location. We encourage everyone who lives in the household, especially children and other pets to meet and interact with the dog during this interview. 3. CRSDC reserves the right to visit your home for an inspection during the adoption process. 4. Once you are approved, you will be asked to sign a legally binding Adoption Contract and pay an adoption fee.
