Caring Hearts is an all volunteer, non profit organization dedicated to finding homes for stray cats and kittens. We have wonderful kittens and cats available for adoption. We also have cats suitable for barn homes. We are involved in trap, neuter and return programs for feral cats. All of our cats live in foster homes until they are fortunate enough to be adopted. Many of our cats are placed through various veterinarians' offices who have chosen to work with us. Our cats and kittens can be visited in their foster homes and at several local veterinarians' office. We have a portable adoption most weekends at the Brannon Crossing PetSmart in Nicholasville, KY.
The heart of the adoption process is the application you fill out. We are advocates and protectors of every feline in our care, so our adoption application is very thorough. This is because successful applications are based on "best fit" for a particular animal, never based on "first submitted." But even if your application is NOT the best fit for a particular animal, we will let you know if your application meets our general criteria, and we will encourage you to apply for another cat. You may find another animal perfectly suited to your lifestyle!

The Way Home Rescue Alliance (TWHRA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit with the common goal of saving animals from high intake, high kill shelters in rural Kentucky that would otherwise be euthanized due to overcrowding .
