Adoption Process

Our adoption fee is $200 for dogs, $275 for puppies, and $100 for seniors, regardless of breed. People with a valid military ID will receive a $50 discount on any dog. The fee includes the animal's spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, and a complimentary vet visit at one of our great vets within seven days of the adoption. You will also have 30 days to return the dog for a full refund or exchange for a different dog if it is not the right fit for your home. We accept cash or credit cards. Most of our dogs are kept in volunteer foster homes. Our volunteers do their best to evaluate the dogs and their behavior to inform the future owners about what they have observed while the dog has been living in their home. Please be aware that even if a dog has been living in a foster home, it is not a guarantee that the dog will not present other behaviors that were unknown to the foster family. Once an application has been submitted, it will immediately be forwarded to the person responsible for adopting the pet you applied for, and they will contact you with the status of your application within 48 hours. If the pet is still available and would make a good fit for your home, we will ask you to schedule an appointment to meet the dog and complete the paperwork for adoption. Sometimes our emails end up in your spam/junk folder, so please keep an eye on that. If you have not heard from us after 48 hours, you may email [email protected] or call (248) 834-9419 to have someone follow up. Once you have adopted your new best friend, we ask that you visit our post-adoption page to learn about all the resources available after you adopt.
