Friends of the Shelter was established in 2010 with the primary goal of assisting our local shelter by fostering and finding qualified homes for some of the animals relinquished, impounded, and removed from abuse/neglect situations. In 2012 we established a low-cost spay/neuter clinic to assist low-income residents in the county have their dogs and cats sterilized to help combat pet overpopulation
