Animal Rights And Rescue Association - San Francisco Pet Shelter

We are a small group dedicated to rescuing animals off the streets and promoting animal rights and welfare through education, legislation, and social action. We primarily focus on animals with special needs, who need extra socialization or have health problems. We do not have a shelter, instead our animals live with their rescuer or in foster care until they are adopted. Due to our small size, WE CANNOT TAKE ANIMALS FROM THE PUBLIC.

Adoption Process

If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us. We will e-mail you an application and make arrangements for you to meet the animal. We try to pick the best-fit family for each animal, and arrange a home visit to drop the animal off. We have an adoption fee of $125 for cats, $150 for kittens, $150 for dogs and $200 for puppies. All our animals are fixed, microchipped, dewormed, up-to-date on vaccines and healthy before they go to their permanent homes. Cats are also combo tested.
