Adoption Process

All potential adopters are required to complete our Pre-Adoption Questionnaire and return it to us before moving forward in the adoption process. We are looking for loving, stable and permanent homes for our animals. That is very important to us. Once we approve your Questionnaire, we will contact you and set up an appointment to meet the animal you are interested in. Please note that having an appointment does not hold the animal. If you want to make sure the animal is held for you to meet, you must leave a deposit. When you come meet the animal you are interested in, we will observe your interaction with that animal. We will provide feedback if we think it is, or is not a good fit. If we have any concerns we might ask to do a home check, speak to your landlord and/or meet other members and pets in the household. If all goes well, we will have you complete an adoption contract, committing to care for and keep the animal forever. We will take payment of the adoption fee by cash or card. We will provide you with a summary of the animal’s health, and provide vet records. And then, the animal can go home with you!
