ABMR, a 501c3 non-profit, is a breed specific rescue organization. With an all volunteer staff we work diligently to rehabilitate and provide a second chance for malinois in need. Our dogs are first placed in foster homes where they receive necessary vetting and plenty of TLC. Our foster homes spend a great deal of time socializing and training the malinois in their care. It is during foster care that they are spayed or neutered, brought up to date on their shots, and microchipped.
We do not adopt out on a "first come, first served" basis. Our final objective is to make good matches between dogs and families to ensure lifelong adoptions. Adoption requires filling out an application, having your references checked and a home inspection completed by one of our ABMR volunteers. If you are not sure which dog you want to apply for and want the coordinator's help matching you with the best choice for your situation please fill out the Pre Adoption App - General. Please fill out only one (1) application even if you are interested in a couple of different dogs. Filling out more than one application will slow down your application's processing.
