Adopt Rescue Cats, Inc. is non-profit 501(c)(3), all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of abandoned cats and kittens from feral colonies, the community and euthanizing shelters; in the greater Richmond, VA area and rural counties. Educating the community about domestic animal welfare and overpopulation prevention is a primary focus of ARC in addition to providing resources for caregivers who need assistance for various reasons as they require.
1. Pre-Adoption Counseling 2. Complete Adoption Contract 3. Application Review/Verification 4. Final Adoption Counseling 5. Adoption Contract. Once an application is approved, a volunteer will work with the prospective adopter to match a request for a specific feline. However the needs and wants of a potential adopter may not match or be the best suited for the requested feline. ARC reserves the right to refuse an applicant if, in our judgment, their home situation is not compatible with the needs of the animal. ARC will make every effort to match a suitable feline, but does not guarantee a successful placement. A home visit may be necessary to make sure all members of the family, including any other dogs and cats, are compatible. ARC’s mission is to find the purrfect match for both feline and adopter and maintain the best interest of the feline in all circumstances.
