A New Start On Life is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) rescue organization that specializes in puppy mill dogs – dogs that have been used in commercial breeding facilities to have litter after litter of puppies. These dogs are unsocialized, fearful, have never been in a house, and don’t know what a gentle hand is. We’re all about changing their life around in a positive way! A New Start On Life acquires the majority of the pets we rescue from breeders who turn them over to us, at auctions where they are for sale to the highest bidder, from owner surrenders, and from shelters. We take care of any medical problems, spay or neuter them, give them all of their shots, make sure they are heartworm free, work on their housetraining skills, work on socializing them and find the home that can best meet their needs. Some are very challenging, some are not. All of them are worth every minute of our time.
