The Rescue Team takes on pets who are experiencing catastrophic illness or injury. Local shelters and emergency vets regularly reach out to us when patients' needs are beyond their capacity for care. We do not operate a shelter, and do not have fixed premises of operation. Our capacity to save the lives of these pets is based entirely on donations to our Major Medical Fund, and our volunteer foster care providers who open their homes to convalescing pets.
We ask that everyone interested in adopting a pet from 4 R Friends complete a questionnaire to help us insure that every match between a family and pet is set up for life long success. All pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, heartworm or FeLV and FIV tested, up to date on core vaccines and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention prior to adoption.
